A Picture is worth a 1000 words

Photo of the Day: Animal Mothers and Baby

(Photo shot on assignment for, but not published in, "Cheetahs: Ghosts of the Grasslands," December 1999, National Geographic magazine)

Photograph by Chris Johns

The peaceful natural green field gave both cheetah mother and her baby a comfortable seat for them to lie on. An adorable cheetah’s baby leaned on his mother, which give the feeling of love between mother and cub. At the same time the Cheetah mom always had to beware of all enemies that could attack her cub. Her eyes constantly looking far out and ready to fight and protect her cub. Even though cheetah is the fastest animal, however, the baby cheetah still could not run as fast as a grown cheetah. Thus, there was a low percentage for the baby cheetah to survive without the protection from the mother.

Peace

Harmony in Music

Nowadays people in the world get easily so frustrated especially from the economic affections. All these people have to rush in very morning to get to work, and some needs to work overtime to make sure they have enough money to support their family member. For this life I can’t see any peace in these peoples’ mind, even myself. Sometime I feel like I was overwhelmed from my work and school. Working early every morning and then going to school, after that coming back and working in evening plus doing homework before getting to sleep. Everything is a routine; I do everything the same every day. I believe many people also stand the same in my point. So how people going to find a peaceful in their mind? I always ask myself what I need for relax and get away from working. Last summer I went to the zoo and saw this old man was playing violin in front of the zebra’s cage. He was playing a slow song, which I didn’t even know what song it was, but all I felt was a peaceful and beautiful music I had ever heard. His eyes were close peacefully like he was only one stand in the world. Since music is created for everyone in every style, they all reflected people in different ways. I realized that music is like a key to open people mind to find their peace which always hidden deep inside from the stressfulness in everyday lives. So music is now used as a healing tool and encouraging for people in the society. Hence, if you feel like you are bombarded with anything around you, find your peace by listening to music. It might help you.

On writing

As being a writer, I can say I had never liked to write, especially writing as essay and summery. The reasons are because writing is very hard for me like I always makes a mistake about writing stuff, for example, how to convey and organize my thought into a nice paragraph. The environment and time also significant, when I need to start to write about something in limited time, I would feel a lot of pressure and depress overwhelming on me. Therefore all of these issues can make me struggling in writing or a writing block.

The way I write my article, I always make a making an outline by writing everything in my mind about the topic as much as I can. Then start writing in a first draft. According to I am an English as second language I always let someone else who a native speaker check everything for me. Eventually I constantly needed to rewrite my sentence all the time because they could not understand my word or what I tried to say.

Other option I chose to help me in writing is relaxing. Most of the time when I under stress emotion, I usually called my mom to ask her an idea or either way is chatting with friends and surfing the internet. Futhermore, having chocolate is very help expressing idea, and relaxing from a stressfulness. So everything I tried to write down will make more sense and flow.

Ode to Chocolate pizza

Ode to chocolate pizza, my best dessert in the whole wide world

The taste of sweet, chocolate hazelnut sauce

Creamy Mascarpone cheese has melted in my mouth

Those were topped on warm crusty bread.

What a miracle circle food I have ever had

I just wanted to open my mouth widely

And take an every bite, disappeared to my tummy forever

However, my memorable of having the chocolate pizza will never be gone

I am going to have you again, my dear, chocolate…topping

This was what happened to me when I went to the piece pizza Chicago where located on the North street. I went to my friend, Pookie‘s farewell party on January 2008, it was winter in Chicago. We always wanted to be inside and having a warmed pizza with the dark beer. Ahhh…sound delicious! When the time for dessert had arrived we did not known what were we going to eat, until the European waitress told us that they had a very delicious chocolate pizza at their restaurant. Wow! We all surprised since we never had pizza as a dessert before, however, we already came and Pookie wanted to experience the Chocolate pizza before returning to Thailand.

From Sine, chocoholic girl.

Kanye West - Homecoming (Chicago)

Chicago is where I feel like this is my second home. As being an Aupair for 2 years, I also had the best friend name Ann. We gained a lot of great experiences of living in the United State by traveling and having fun together. Since this song "Home coming" by Kenya west was just come out, we were at the millennium park on Michigan street taking a photo, we heard this song from the restaurant and we both like its sound. However, at first we couldn't understand well what in this song, then we came back home and find out, listen and listen again many times until this song became our favorite song at that time. I also thought about coming back Chicago again when I finished my Au Pair program. Now I just had a chance to come back here again as an internal student in Harold Washington. This song remind me of coming back home again as its song name and it also remind me of Ann, my close friend.

My first poem :)

Amazing Ayutthaya Thailand

Where I was born is not a corn on a cob
Where I grew up is at Ayutthaya my home town
Ayutthaya as you can hear the elephants sound

Crowded people in old glorious capital
Ancient temples - historical flourish country
Buddha still in peacefully standing

Welcome visiting from all over the world
Amazing performance light and sound show

Exhibitions as a World Heritage everyone know
Now we all knew Ayutthaya will not just be a story.
